BARCCSYN 2026

Dra. Laura Modol and Mireia Comabella participated in the 14th edition of the Barcelona Computational, Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience (BARCCSYN) annual meeting, taking place on 28–29 May 2026 at the Institut d’Estudis Catalans (IEC), Barcelona.

BARCCSYN aims to bring together researchers working across computational, systems and cognitive neuroscience, providing a forum for lively discussion and encouraging active collaboration, particularly between theorists and experimentalists from Barcelona-based research groups.

The programme includes brief oral presentations from local researchers, poster sessions featuring Mireia Comabella, and three keynote lectures by internationally renowned speakers:

  • Raoul-Martin Memmesheimer — University of Bonn, Germany
  • Saskia Haegens — Columbia University, New York
  • Sara Mederos — Hospital del Mar, Barcelona

The conference is organised by the Neurociència computacional i de sistemes section of the Societat Catalana de Biologia and the Societat Catalana de Matemàtiques.
